The Insurance Intermediaries Act (Cap 487), makes reference to the term “insurance intermediaries rule” rather than the term “insurance intermediaries directive”. The Insurance Business Unit is in the process of replacing its Insurance Intermediaries Directives into Insurance Intermediaries Rules. Accordingly, in the future, all Insurance Intermediaries Directives will be replaced by Rules and the current directory “Insurance Intermediaries Directives” on the MFSA’s website will be replaced by Insurance Intermediaries Rules”.
